Ten years ago, Leeds-based four-piece Adult Jazz made an unsuspecting cult classic of an album. Gist Is took reflections from the shards of new weird America at the start of the 2010s – Grizzly Bear, AnCo, Dirty Projectors – and played it through the band’s own anxieties and uncertainties. What followed was a world of curiosities, mercurial melodies between folk, plainsong, pop and jazz, at once beguiling and uninhibited. A soft critical acclaim followed, finding fans too in Björk and David Byrne.

Long out of print, for the first time on colour vinyl and to be spun for the first time at 33rpm, Adult Jazz celebrate 10 (ish) years of the beginning, alongside remixes from Shabazz Palaces, Happa and Oliver Coates on Side D.
