Genre-defying London artist Anolah releases an adrenaline-fuelled new single titled “Slack Line”. The single features guest vocals from lauded London singer and poet Hak Baker and is released on Speedy Wunderground as part of their 7” Single Series.

From an upbringing in the midst of many underground scenes, Anolah's childhood was a whirlwind of city-hopping, sound systems, performing and creating. Now firmly rooted in London, Anolah's diverse experiences and encounters with unconventional characters and musicians from many backgrounds have been a wellspring of inspiration for her journey as a songwriter and instrumentalist.

Produced by Dan Carey, “Slack Line” sees Anolah’s far reaching musical palette - which merges elements of soul, jazz, R&B, punk, and hip hop with jungle, dub and breakbeat - come together for an incisive and empowering sub-3-minute powerhouse full of hyperactive bass and glitched-out electronics. Hak Baker’s guest vocals add further attitude to the track as their vocal lines merge for its explosive chorus, singing/shouting “Yours and yours will be yours /

The 7” features a signature dub remix by Carey titled “Dub Line” which sees the track knolled out and rebuilt, further accentuating the borderless and eclectic sound of Anolah’s musical style. Mines will be mines / Rats don’t get cats eyes / I hear u scurry all fours / Feet to the floor / Chewin the slackline”.
Speaking on the single Anolah says “Sometimes people get a little too confident in who they think you are and project that onto you. And it’s like babe we’re not married, I didn’t ask for your input so let me do me and you can do you.”
