Archie Shepp is an American jazz saxophonist known for his passionately Afrocentric music of the late 1960s. His work focused on highlighting the injustices faced by African people. He has collaborated with various artists, including [Collaborator 1], [Collaborator 2], and his "New Thing" contemporaries, most notably [Contemporary Artist 1] and [Contemporary Artist 2].

Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". Held on one Saturday every April and every Black Friday in November, the day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world.
