The Foo Fighters are an alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington, USA. They were formed in 1994 by Dave Grohl as a one-man-band and have since become one of the most influential rock bands of their generation.

The current members of the Foo Fighters include Dave Grohl on vocals and rhythm guitar, Nate Mendel on bass, Pat Smear on rhythm guitar (with breaks between 1995-1997 and 2006-), Chris Shifflett on lead guitar and backing vocals, Rami Jaffee on keyboards (since 2017), and Josh Freese on drums (since 2023).

Over the years, the band has had several former members including William Goldsmith on drums (1995-1997), Franz Stahl on lead guitar and backing vocals (1997-1999), and Taylor Hawkins who sadly passed away in 2022 after serving as the drummer and providing backing vocals for the band from 1997 to 2022.
