Franc Moody presents Chewing The Fat, marking the start of a new era for the duo. This album is a deep dive into the recesses of their creative nooks and crannies, tearing up the rulebook and reinventing the Franc Moody sound to show a more mature side than their previous offerings.

Recorded in part at the LA 64 Sounds Studio and at Damon Albarn’s Studio 13 in West London, the sonics of the album are heavily influenced by Albarn’s synth collection, particularly a few of the Russian models lying around. Live shows by Massive Attack and LCD Soundsystem also played a role in shaping the sound of this album, resulting in an offering with perhaps a little less disco, but with a sense of grunge, grit, and attitude.
