Available as a limited edition of 750 numbered copies on translucent blue coloured vinyl Ivan Lins is a Latin Grammy-winning Brazilian musician who has been a prolific performer and songwriter of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) and jazz for over fifty years. His first hit was Madalena in 1970, written for Elis Regina, and his song ""Love Dance"" (""Lembrança"") has been recorded by countless jazz artist including Kenny Burrell, Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter, Nancy Wilson and George Benson. Modo Livre is his fourth album and mostly features songs written by Lins himself, showcasing his strength as songwriter, but features many influential musicians from that era such as Caetano Veloso, Wagner Tiso and Robertinho. Also featured on guitar, arrangement and conducting duties is MPB legend Arthur Verocai. Over the years the record amassed somewhat of a cult following making it extremely hard to find so we're proud to make this Brazilian essential available again for the first time in over 20 years.
