Montreal's Ought are the closest thing Constellation Records have come to releasing a 'normal' guitar band, but they share their label's extravagant bloody-mindedness. The opening tracks on 'Sun Coming Down' sounds like Mark E Smith being bludgeoned to death with several very heavy guitars, and there's not much respite over eight sludgy songs. But with time and patience, beauty emerges from the chaos; shimmering centrepiece 'Beautiful Blue Sky' is a remarkable piece of music, like some sublime union of Talking Heads and Shellac, and Tim Beeler's growled lyrics are endlessly fascinating.CD - Housed in Gatefold Sleeve.LP -  180 Gram LP Includes Art Print Poster and Download.
