It was the follow-up to their breakthrough album Screamadelica. Whereas Screamadelica was primarily a psychedelic album, Give Out But Don't Give Up was influenced by Classic Rock and Blues. In 1994 Give Out But Don't Give Up was placed 22nd in the Heat seekers Chart. The album features Bobby Gillespie, George Clinton, Robert Young, Andrew Innes, Martin Duffy and David Hood.
