A pioneer in the field of electronic music, Hans-Joachim Roedelius is considered one of the founders of contemporary popular electronic music. Born on October 26th, 1934, in Friedenau / Berlin, he has lived in Baden, south of Vienna since 1978 where he began his career as a professional composer/musician/writer in the late sixties. He has appeared on well over 100 releases between his own work and collaborations with various composers and musicians including Brian Eno, Holger Czukay, Michael Rother, and many others.

Roedelius was a founding member of several experimental groups and projects such as "Geräusche," "Plus/minus," "Per Sonare," "Kluster," "Cluster," "Harmonia," and more. In 2011, he formed a new variant of Cluster called Qluster alongside Onnen Bock after breaking off formal ties with Dieter Moebius. Throughout his career, Roedelius has also collaborated with choreographers for various festivals including the Wiener Festwochen and Donaufestival.

Brian Eno is an electronic musician and producer known for his multifaceted interests outside of music, especially in technology. He was born on May 15, 1948 in Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK.

Eno started his musical career with the band Roxy Music and went on to produce a number of highly eclectic and ambient electronic and acoustic albums. He is widely credited with coining the term "ambient music" through his series of albums recorded between 1978 and 1982.

In addition to his solo work, Eno has collaborated with artists such as David Byrne, David Bowie, Robert Fripp, Robert Wyatt, Jon Hassell, and Cluster. He has also worked as a producer for bands like U2, James, Coldplay, among others. Eno's contributions to music have earned him numerous accolades including Best Producer at the BRIT awards in 1994 and 1996.

Originally released in 1978 on Sky Records, After The Heat was the second collaborative release by Brian Eno with Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius (Cluster). Produced once again by Conny Plank, After The Heat is a suite of micro-managed organic and electronic instrumentation that features recited and sung vocals by Eno on 3 tracks. As Asmus Tietchens writes in the liner notes: "Cluster and Eno can, with the benefit of hindsight and without overstating its case, be seen as the first ambient album to have been produced in Germany. The second LP, After The Heat, is, however, a completely different story. Whilst Cluster &amp; Eno bears the hallmark of a Cluster composition guided by Eno's ambient concept, After The Heat is more of an Eno album bearing stylistic characteristics of Cluster music."
