When Sagor and Swing released the album Orgelfärger in 2001, it hit with a bang. The rare organ music, as worldly as it is comfortingly present, was praised by both critics and audiences. Andres Lokko wrote in Expressen that it was the best Swedish album of the year and in Nöjesguiden it landed at number seven in the closing pleading of the Christmas issue. The music has since been used extensively in film and TV, for example in Fyra näysern av brunt and the HBO series Eastbound and Down. Orgelfärger was followed by two more albums, Melodier och fåglar, and the Grammy-nominated Allt hänger samman. Together, these three albums came to constitute a trilogy. Since 2020, Coop Records has been working on the project to reissue the trilogy with remastered, partially reworked versions on vinyl. They started from the back with the last in the series and have now arrived at the first, i.e. Orgelfärger. A quarter of a century has passed but the music is timeless, the magic forest and sacred fifths are woven together in a personal musical language that is best described as - it sounds like Fairy Tales and Swing. Photo artist Linda Westin has made the new cover that your eyes can rest contentedly on while the album rolls out into space.
