Valkyrien Allstars, who have been leading the Norwegian folk music scene for 20 years and whose previous album was awarded a Norwegian Spelleman, have teamed up with the Swedish award-winning folk music label Supertraditional for their new, seventh album and offer listeners nine well-made songs about life and living. “Venter på noen som venter på noen” is a continuation of Valkyrien’s distinctive fusion of traditional music and pop music. A formula that has sent them across Norway so many times that it’s a wonder there are still any trees left in the forest.
