The original motion picture soundtrack for Ridley Scott's 1982 science-fiction noir film Blade Runner, composed by Greek electronic musician Vangelis. It has received acclaim as among Vangelis's best work and an influential work in the history of electronic music. The best album of his '80s output, Blade Runner is very definitive of Vangelis' sound. The themes and melodies need no introduction, the arrangements, performances, and production are timeless, the film itself is a cinematic milestone and the music is probably the most spectacular sci-fi electronic masterpiece ever recorded.
