Source Remix was originally released 29th July 2002 on Endorphin, Enraptured's sister label, as part of what was called our, 'Research & Development Series’, Designed to show an artist’s work from a different prospectus.The album features mixes by Rothko, Bauri, Portal, Landing, Amp, Lackluster, Innerise, Phobos 3, Galena and Maps&Diagrams. The remixes came about after Endorphin asked Y6 to consider a remix project and so Jon Attwood asked some of his favourite fellow artists and friends to contribute.The mixes that came back were to say the least beautifully crafted and retain the atmosphere and mood of Y6 but also show the character and style of the remixers to good effect, a combination that will appeal to fans of Y6 and the remixers alike! Having found some of these back catalogue gems in the warehouse, we thought it appropriate to offer the last of them on the back of Yellow6’s new album, ‘Past Preserved'.
