This excellent 1965 album from the always versatile Yusef Lateef runs the gamut musically, from the Coltrane influenced “Semi-Octo” to soulful reads of standards from Hammerstein / Kern, Fats Waller and Erik Satie, and a beautifully rendered original ‘Bamboo Flute Blues’. This Verve By Request title is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Third Man in Detroit.
