The Guru Guru was an American rapper, producer, and founding member of Gang Starr. Born on July 17, 1961 in Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts, he was of Trinidadian descent. Known by his stage name "Guru," which stands for "Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal," he made a significant impact on the music industry. Sadly, he passed away on April 19, 2010 in New York City at the age of 48.
