Mille Plateaux

Mille Plateaux is a label for experimental electronic music and electronic arts. It has had a significant influence on genres such as Clickhop, Glitch, Clicks & Cuts, and Minimal. The name "Mille Plateaux" comes from a concept and principal work co-authored by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, French psychoanalyst and philosopher respectively. Founded in 1993 by Achim Szepanski, the label was initially a sublabel of Force Inc. Music Works until 2004. After being temporarily revived as MillePlateauxMedia in 2004 by Achim Szepanski, it was later run by Disco Inc. Ltd in 2006 and Marcus Gabler in 2008. In 2018, the label Mille Plateaux was launched again by Achim Szepanski.
