Lost Horizons - Ojalá

Simon Raymonde returns to the world of making music alongside Dif Juz drummer Richie Thomas in new band Lost Horizons, delivering the stunning album Ojalá.

Raymonde (formerly of Cocteau Twins) has been running his label (Bella Union) for 20 years and has been pretty much AWOL from the world of making music for the same length of time. On this project he and Thomas are joined by a fine array of amazing singers, everyone he asked agreed - and why wouldn’t you?

A stunning debut album with mellow smooth guitar work, swirling, atmospheric keyboards and passionate soaring female vocals. There’s a smidgen of gentle psych - the rich, mellow blend not the rowdy stuff - a gentle snowdrift of folk blanketed over a delicate but titanium strong construction.
