A religious, Appalachian gospel, folk, rock, country, bluegrass, Cajun and punk band from Denver, Colorado. Founded in 1992 in Los Angeles and active until April 2005. The band members continue their musical journey with their respective bands Lilium and Woven Hand.

16 Horsepower's unique blend of genres has garnered them a dedicated following over the years. Their music draws inspiration from various traditions including gospel, folk, rock, country, bluegrass, Cajun and punk. Hailing from Denver, Colorado in the USA, the band was formed in 1992 while they were based in Los Angeles.

Although they ceased activity in April 2005 after an impressive run as a group, the former members have gone on to pursue other musical endeavors. Notably *Lilium* and *Woven Hand*, where they continue to create captivating music that resonates with fans of diverse tastes.
