Adrianne Lenker is a singer-songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana. She is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Big Thief, as well as for her own solo work. Adrianne's musical journey began when she moved to Minnesota with her family at a young age and started learning guitar and writing songs. Throughout her teens, she dedicated herself to music, playing gigs and releasing solo material. In 2014, Adrianne made the bold move to Brooklyn, New York where she connected with Buck Meek and together they formed a duo. That same year, she self-released her first solo album titled "Hours Were the Birds." The following year saw the formation of folk rock band Big Thief with Buck. Adrianne's second solo record "abysskiss" was released in October 2018 through Saddle Creek Records. In 2020, she signed to 4AD and treated fans to a double album titled "songs and instrumentals."
