Fila Brazillia

In 1990, David 'Man' McSherry and Steve Cobby formed Fila Brazillia as a way to break free from the constraints of traditional band structures. Their music emerged from spontaneous collaborations and sonic experiments, treating all sounds as found objects. After catching the attention of Dave Brennand, they released their first single "Mermaids" in 1991. Over the next decade, Fila Brazillia produced seven highly acclaimed albums and numerous remixes.

The name Fila Brazillia originated from a misheard radio debate about the fila brasiliero breed of dog during a media frenzy over killer dogs. The track "Mermaids" marked the beginning of their successful career with Pork Recordings, which included multiple singles and remixes.

Throughout their discography, Fila Brazillia maintained an innovative approach to music production, blending genres and pushing boundaries. Their unique sound captivated audiences and solidified their place in electronic music history.
