Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk is a German group that was formed in Düsseldorf in 1970. The original trio consisted of Ralf Hütter, Florian Schneider-Esleben, and Charly Weiss. They debuted live at the Tivoli Popfestival in Aachen on July 11, 1970. Over the years, there have been various line-up changes with members such as Klaus Dinger, Michael Rother, and Karl Bartos. Hütter has been a consistent member since September 1971.

The current members of Kraftwerk include Ralf Hütter on lead vocals, vocoder, synthesizers, keyboards, organ, drums and percussion, guitar, and bass guitar; Henning Schmitz on electronic percussion and sound engineering; Fritz Hilpert on electronic percussion and sound engineering; and Falk Grieffenhagen as the video technician.

Throughout their career, Kraftwerk has collaborated with individuals such as Maxime Schmitt and Emil Schult who have contributed to their releases both lyrically and graphically.
