Roedelius

A pioneer in the field of electronic music, Hans-Joachim Roedelius is considered one of the founders of contemporary popular electronic music. Born on October 26th, 1934, in Friedenau / Berlin, he has lived in Baden, south of Vienna since 1978 where he began his career as a professional composer/musician/writer in the late sixties. He has appeared on well over 100 releases between his own work and collaborations with various composers and musicians including Brian Eno, Holger Czukay, Michael Rother, and many others.

Roedelius was a founding member of several experimental groups and projects such as "Geräusche," "Plus/minus," "Per Sonare," "Kluster," "Cluster," "Harmonia," and more. In 2011, he formed a new variant of Cluster called Qluster alongside Onnen Bock after breaking off formal ties with Dieter Moebius. Throughout his career, Roedelius has also collaborated with choreographers for various festivals including the Wiener Festwochen and Donaufestival.
