Smif-N-Wessun

Smif-N-Wessun is a Brooklyn-based hip-hop group consisting of members Tek and Steele. They hail from the Bedford Stuyvesant "Bucktown" section of Brooklyn and are part of the Boot Camp Clique. The duo first gained recognition when they appeared on Black Moon's classic debut album, Enta Da Stage, with tracks like "U Da Man" and the iconic "Black Smif-N-Wessun". After releasing their debut LP, Dah Shinin', they encountered legal issues with gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson Firearms and changed their name to the Cocoa Brovaz.

With a sound reminiscent of other influential artists such as Heltah Skeltah, Black Moon, and Group Home, Smif-N-Wessun has made a significant impact on the hip-hop scene. Their music captures the essence of Brooklyn's gritty streets while showcasing their lyrical prowess and unique style.

Joining forces with talented performers like O.G.C., O.C., Artifacts, Jeru The Damaja, Tha Alkaholiks, Keith Murray, Lord Finesse, Showbiz & A.G., Das EFX, Sadat X, Blahzay Blahzay, Mic Geronimo, Large Professor,D.I.T.C., Lords Of The Underground,and Brand Nubian among others; Smif-N-Wessun continues to leave an indelible mark in the world of hip-hop.
