Susumu Yokota

Susumu Yokota was a Japanese techno and ambient composer, known for his diverse range of music styles including electronic, ambient, and avant-garde. He began his career as a house and techno DJ before gaining recognition for his releases on British labels such as The Leaf Label and Lo Recordings. Additionally, he released numerous albums on his own Japanese label, Skintone.

Born on April 22, 1960 in Toyama, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, Yokota's musical talent spanned various genres within the electronic music scene. His unique sound captivated audiences both in Japan and internationally.

Tragically, Susumu Yokota passed away on March 27, 2015 at the age of 54 in Japan. Despite his untimely death, his legacy lives on through his influential contributions to the world of music.
