The Pooh Sticks

The Pooh Sticks are an indie pop band from Swansea, Wales, UK. Formed in 1987, they gained recognition for their jangly melodiousness and lyrics that gently mocked the indie scene of the time. Their breakthrough album "The Great White Wonder" in 1991 showcased a shift towards a more American-styled power pop sound. Albums like Million Seller (1993) and Optimistic Fool (1995) continued to follow this style.

Fronted by Hue Pooh (Hue Williams), The Pooh Sticks were actually masterminded by manager Steve Gregory who wrote, arranged, produced their records and even choreographed their live performances. While Trudi Tangerine, Alison, Stephanie and Paul were fictitious members, they constituted the core lineup of the band.

With their distinctive sound and clever songwriting, The Pooh Sticks have left a lasting impact on the indie pop genre. Discover their music today!
