Bananarama

Bananarama is a British pop group formed in London in 1981 by childhood friends Keren Woodward and Sarah Dallin, along with their friend Siobhan Fahey. They gained international success with their self-titled second album, featuring the hit single "Cruel Summer". In 1986, they achieved worldwide fame with their cover of Shocking Blue's "Venus". Siobhan left the group in 1988 to form Shakespear's Sister. Since then, Sara and Keren have continued as a duo. They celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2022 with the release of their seventh album, "Masquerade".

Throughout their career, Bananarama has been recognized as one of the most successful female groups in pop history. Their achievements include entering the UK charts at number four with "It Ain't What You Do" and being named by Guinness Book of Records as more successful than The Supremes.

In addition to their music career, Bananarama has also made notable collaborations and appearances. They reunited briefly with Siobhan for a tour between November 2017 and August 2018. The duo released an autobiography titled "Really Saying Something" in 2020.
