Barna Howard

Barna Howard is an artist hailing from Portland, Oregon. Born and raised in a quintessential Midwest town, his childhood was filled with pure Americana experiences. However, like many small towns, the charm of his hometown has faded over time. After studying animation and following love to different cities, Barna eventually found himself in the Northwest where he released his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. His second album, Quite a Feelin', reflects on his relationship with home and captures his deeply personal nostalgia in a universally resonating way.

His youth in Eureka, Missouri was reminiscent of Spielberg's E.T., with baseball cards in bicycle spokes and carefree adventures down Main Street. But as time passed, Eureka lost some of its charm - Main Street changed and kids no longer roamed freely. Ironically, Barna's childhood home was demolished to make way for a Walmart parking lot.

After high school, Barna ventured north to study animation before moving east for love. Eventually making his way to the Northwest with two friends, he sought inspiration and a fresh start. His self-titled debut album captured the contrast between his small town upbringing and big city wanderings. The album gained critical acclaim and underground success after one of its songs featured in the indie film Drinking Buddies.
