Buzzcocks is a legendary punk rock band formed in February 1976 by Pete Shelley (real name Peter McNeish) and Howard Devoto (real name Howard Trafford). They quickly gained attention with their energetic performances, but it wasn't until July 1976 that they solidified their lineup. With Pete Shelley on guitar, Howard Devoto on vocals, Steve Diggle on bass, and John Maher on drums, Buzzcocks began making waves in the punk scene.

Over the years, Buzzcocks went through several lineup changes and hiatuses. Despite not releasing any studio recordings during certain periods, they continued to tour and captivate audiences with their raw sound and powerful lyrics. In 1992, they performed a series of gigs in Europe without any recorded material.

Pete Shelley's untimely death in December 2018 marked the end of an era for Buzzcocks. Throughout their career spanning over four decades, Buzzcocks left an indelible mark on the punk rock genre and influenced countless musicians. Their music continues to resonate with fans worldwide as a testament to their enduring legacy.

Domino is an independent label founded in Putney, South West London by *a694357* and his partner Jacqui Rice in 1993. The label initially focused on American acts such as *Sebadoh*, *Pavement* or *Royal Trux* before signing British acts in the late '90s.

The label operates a US division, located in Brooklyn, which output was initially identified by its own catalogue number schemes, DOMUS then DNO (used until 2013), when the releases handled by the UK headquarters are identified by WIG (albums) and RUG (singles and EPs) catalogue numbers.

The company operating the label, *Warp Records*, diversified, establishing a publishing arm and a series of labels (*Double Six Recordings*, *Weird World Record Co.*, *Rephlex*, ...).

Buzzcocks' first album, Another Music in a Different Kitchen from 1978 is a major punk landmark and a great record to boot. it's full of fire, wit, speed, philosophical lyrics and gender explorations. Released after the departure of Howard Devoto, this is one of the truly essential punk rock albums. It's aggressive and raw but the band also had pop hooks to spare. Lovingly restored and re-mastered from the original ¼” tapes for the first time and come packaged in the original Malcolm Garrett designed sleeves with a booklet containing unseen images and extensive liner notes by famed writer, broadcaster, music journalist and cultural commentator Jon Savage.
