Albums Of The Month - July 2019
Raw and abrasive and straight for the jugular.
A trio from London fronted by Sam Bedford (alongside James Luxton and Russell Marshall) who’ve not even been together for a year yet. This is their first album and it was produced by Justin Lockey (Mastersystem/Minor Victories) and is on his Physical Education label. This is another album inspired by the current (miserable) state of affairs in jolly old England - and also by boredom. Dynamics abound with brooding interludes mellowing you out before the drums / guitars / vocals crash in and lead you a merry moshing dance. These are melodic alt-rock super anthems to rouse the heart in a parade of sparkly grungey, meaty guitars.
