Cathedral
Cathedral is a UK doom-metal band formed in 1989 in Coventry, England. Vocalist Lee Dorrian and guitarist Mark Griffiths met at a Carcass show and bonded over their shared love of doom metal. The band's sound evolved from slow, dirge-like arrangements on their debut album to Black Sabbath inspired heavy metal. Despite membership changes, Dorrian and co-founding guitarist Garry Jennings remained with the band throughout its entire run. After 24 years together, Dorrian and Jennings decided to put Cathedral to rest in 2013.
