Cheryl Lynn is an American R&B/Soul and Disco Singer born on March 11, 1957 in Los Angeles, California. She gained recognition after her impressive performance on the TV special "Gong Show" and signed a contract with Columbia Records. Collaborating with artists like Toto and David Paich helped launch her career, with hits such as "Got To Be Real". Throughout her successful career from 1978 to 1995, she released nine albums produced by renowned names like Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Ray Parker Jr., Luther Vandross, Jesse Johnson, and Teddy Riley. Cheryl Lynn has also collaborated with Luther Vandross for a cover of Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's "If This World Were Mine". Her other popular songs include "Shake It Up Tonight", "In the Night", "Star Love", and "Encore". Additionally, she has contributed vocals to various artists including Richard Marx, Luther Vandross, Teddy Riley, among others.
