Album artwork for Chet Baker Plays and Sings by Chet Baker

Chet Baker Plays and Sings - The complete LP + 11 bonus tracks - collector’s digipak series with comprehensive booklet. The amazing Chet Baker (1929-1988) was both a superb trumpet player and singer. This fact is widely accepted today, but when the first sessions featuring him on vocals were issued, it was quite a surprise.

Both his trumpet and voice seem to be extensions of the same musical personality, and once you’ve become familiar with the dual facets of Baker, you expect to hear them both. Presented here is the complete original LP Chet Baker Plays and Sings (World Paci c 20138), which compiled some of Baker’s greatest vocal and instrumental hits. Eleven additional tracks from the same period have been included as a bonus.
