Chromeo

Chromeo is a music duo consisting of Dave One and Pee Thugg, also known as David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel. They have been making music together since childhood and initially gained recognition for producing beats for popular Québec hip-hop acts such as Shades of Culture, Dubmatique, Sans Pression, and Yvon Krevé.

In 2000, Tiga, a fan of Obscure Disorder, approached Dave with the idea of collaborating on an electronic music project for Turbo. The duo signed with Turbo in 2001 after putting together a demo.

With Chromeo's unique sound, listeners can expect a fusion of analog synths, rock guitars, 808s, rhodes, and talk box elements. Their music resonates with fans who enjoy artists like Cut Copy, Miami Horror, Breakbot, Digitalism,and Bag Raiders among others.
