Entombed is a death metal band hailing from Stockholm, Sweden. Originally formed in 1989 under the name [a385140], the band has since become a prominent figure in the genre. Led by original member Alex Hellid on guitar, Entombed has undergone various lineup changes throughout their career.
In 2014, a legal dispute arose among the members over the rights to the Entombed name. As a result, Hellid retained ownership of the name while the remaining active members, including long-time vocalist L-G Petrov, continued as [a=Entombed A.D.]. However, in 2016, Andersson, Cederlund & Hellid reunited for live shows to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album "Clandestine".
Tragically, former vocalist L-G Petrov passed away in 2021. Nevertheless, in July 2022, Entombed reunited for a festival gig in memory of Petrov. The current lineup consists of Alex Hellid on guitar (since 1989), Ulf Cederlund on guitar (1989-2005 and since 2016), and Nicke Andersson on drums (1989-1997 and since 2016).

Massively influential debut album from Swedish death metal legends Entombed. Left Hand Path defined the 'Swedish sound' replicated by hundreds of other acts and came to represent the primal death metal sound that was to breakthrough into the mainstream in the early 1990's.
