Joel Wästberg (aka sir Was) is the master of “precision-engineered disorder” (Clash). Fusing together electronica, jazz, hip-hop, funk and African rhythms, he continually confounds expectations and makes it all sound like the most natural thing in the world. Raised in a tiny Swedish village, Wästberg chased dreams of being a saxophonist across the globe, picking up musical influences as he went, before jamming with the likes José González and Sean Lennon. Now an acclaimed solo artist, Wästberg “crafts moments of deep self-exploration and rich sonic outputs” (Pop Matters).

This is a standing Colston Hall Presents ticketed event at Rough Trade Bristol.
