Today, rising indie pop sensations Anteros announce a new UK headline tour for October, including a date at Rough Trade Bristol.
Tickets go on sale on 10 August at 9am at LiveNation.co.uk.
The four-piece also release their new single ‘Call Your Mother’ on Distiller Records.
“The smart indie band with 60s pop savvy, 70s new wave ’tude and 90s swagger” - The Guardian
“Incredibly fun to watch live and so far they’ve produced bop after bop” - The Independent
“They are out to have a damn good time, and we are on board for the ride” - Metro“The group can well and truly go all the way” - NME
Helmed by Mercury Prize-winning producer Charlie Andrew (Alt-J, Bloc Party, Marika Hackman), ‘Call Your
Mother’ represents a meteoric ascent for Anteros, meshing the pop, indie and electronic rock sounds they’ve
explored in their formative years to create a colossal new vibe. A driving bassline and frontwoman Laura
Hayden’s dreamy vocals carry the listener into an instantly anthemic hook, reminiscent of ’70s Blondie and
‘Tragic Kingdom’ era No Doubt.
In the past two years, Anteros have developed a stellar reputation as one of the most charismatic bands on
the London circuit. They’ve brought their unforgettable live show to thousands on tours with Two Door
Cinema Club, Sundara Karma and Circa Waves, garnered support from BBC Radio 1 and Radio X and been
named Ones To Watch by The Independent, Metro and This Feeling, just to name a few of their accolades.
The year so far has seen them booked for festival main stages, continue to play to thousands across Europe
and stand firmly at the forefront of the wave of female artists leading the indie movement. Expect plenty more
new music from Anteros in the coming months, with their debut album set for release in 2019.
