<p>Cherry Red is a British label that was founded by Iain McNay in 1978. Also known as Cherry Red Records, this label has become associated with the company Music and Media Group. With the label code LC 6730, Cherry Red has made a name for itself in the music industry. It is important to note that this label should not be confused with the US label of the same name.</p>

<p>Felt is an English indie pop band from Water Orton, Warwickshire. Formed by Lawrence in 1979, they gained critical acclaim and a cult following with their unique sound. Their first single 'Index' was released on Lawrence's own label, followed by a string of releases through Cherry Red Records featuring the talented guitarist Maurice Deebank. Despite achieving a #1 indie single with 'Primitive Painters', Felt never achieved mainstream success but remained influential in the indie music scene. After Deebank's departure in 1986, they signed to Creation Records and released the acclaimed album 'Forever Breathes The Lonely Word'. Over the next decade, Felt released ten albums, fulfilling Lawrence's prophecy made in 1980.</p>

Remastered by Kevin Metcalfe and Lawrence 2022 edition of the third Felt studio album from 1984 which is a strong pop album with great guitar hooks and a simultaneously sad and happy feel to it. Before the Stone Roses and after Be-Bop Deluxe and Plastic Ono Band, John Leckie worked with Felt. Booked into a metal / reggae studio in Birmingham’s industrial wasteland he sculpted a Michelangelo slice of new rock – exquisite and beautiful guitar odysseys – quite unlike anything the city had experienced before. Merging pop with a classical nuance Felt stood alone as the forerunners of a brand new style. And Gary Ainge was finally allowed to use his high-hat!
