Half Man Half Biscuit

Half Man Half Biscuit is a UK indie band from Birkenhead in the North West. Active since 1983, they are known for their satirical and sometimes surrealistic songs. The band's musical styles often parody popular genres, while their lyrics are dense with cultural allusions, mainly UK popular culture. Their humorous approach draws on 1970s and early 1980s popular culture, including children's programs.

The band consists of Neil Crossley (Bass, Vocals), Nigel Blackwell (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals), Karl Benson (Lead Guitar), and Carl Henry (Drums). Former members include Paul Wright (Drums), David Lloyd (Keyboards), Simon Blackwell (Lead Guitar), Ian Jackson (Lead Guitar), Carl Alty (Drums), and Ken Hancock (Lead Guitar).

Half Man Half Biscuit are huge fans of Tranmere Rovers FC and once turned down an appearance on the Channel 4 80's rock show The Tube because Tranmere were playing that night.
