Kae Tempest

Kae Tempest is a British poet, spoken word artist, and playwright. They were born on 22 December 1985 in Brockley, London, England, UK. Formerly known as Kate Tempest, they have gained recognition as an award-winning spoken-word recording artist. In 2013, they won the prestigious Ted Hughes Award for their project "Brand New Ancients." Since then, Kae has released several albums including "Everybody Down" (2014), "Let Them Eat Chaos" (2016), and "The Book of Traps and Lessons" (2019). In 2022, they changed their name to Kae for their latest album release. In August 2020, Kae announced a change in pronouns from she/her to they/them.
