Waxwork
Waxwork Records is a New Orleans based record label founded in January 2013 by Kevin Bergeron and Sue Ellen Soto. Specializing in classic cinema, horror, cult, and sci-fi film scores, Waxwork releases these iconic soundtracks in the highest quality LP packages available. The label goes above and beyond to locate the original source master tapes for each release, often thought to be lost or destroyed for decades. These tapes are then re-mixed and re-mastered by former guitarist of a well-known band. All Waxwork titles are pressed on 180 gram audiophile grade vinyl and housed in heavy old style casebound tip-on jackets.
What sets Waxwork apart is their commitment to providing a complete package for each release. Every album features newly commissioned full package artwork and design along with liner notes from the film directors and composers themselves. This attention to detail ensures that fans not only get an exceptional listening experience but also a visually stunning collector's item.
In June 2023, Waxwork Records began pressing their own releases, further solidifying their dedication to delivering top-notch quality products directly to music enthusiasts worldwide. With distribution handled by Light in the Attic Records, this label continues to specialize in film soundtracks and scores that captivate audiences with their unique blend of nostalgia and artistic excellence.
