Little Joy

Little Joy is a band formed by Binki Shapiro, Rodrigo Amarante, and Fabrizio Moretti. They came together after meeting at a festival in Lisbon and bonding over their shared love of music. Despite being members of other successful bands, they decided to collaborate on a project that was separate from their main musical endeavors.

Amarante traveled to the United States to work on an album with Devendra Banhart, and during his off hours, he would meet with Moretti to discuss various topics unrelated to music. It was during this time that they met Shapiro, who quickly became friends with them and encouraged them to pursue the music they had talked about creating.

The three musicians moved into a house in Echo Park where they demoed songs and worked on their debut album with producer Noah Georgeson. The result was "Little Joy," named after a local cocktail lounge near their home. Their self-titled debut showcases their unique sound and songwriting abilities.
