Tropical groovesters Habitats are a four-piece indie-pop band from Hampshire. They release an 8 track mini-album, entitled 409. It includes the singles Clubhouse, Tangerine Dream and Bravado, each track showcases a different side to the band. Clubhouse is a fast paced escapade observing British small town nightlife, while Tangerine Dream takes on a more laid back psychedelic vibe reminiscent of Tame Impala. Proving that they're not just a singles band, 409 culminates with a 10 minute instrumental jam, which takes the listener on a psychedelic journey of colourful melodic guitars and bustling beats. 409 follows Habitats previous EP releases Diamond Days and Jungles as well as a one off A Side / B Side single release of Guilty Pleasure and Lay Me Down (Live) recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios. Habitats still very much relish the idea of not having a specific frontman, with each of them providing enough strong characteristics in the music to be able to swap microphones at will, forming an array of sunshine melodies and vocal harmonies over danceable, catchy beats.
