The Abyssinians

Arise

Formed in the late sixties, the Abyssinians are widely regarded by Jamaican music connoisseurs as the finest vocal group to emerge during the roots era. Issued in the UK in 1978 on the celebrated Front Line label, the album has remained a perennial favourite among reggae fans throughout the decades that have followed. Mastered from the original UK and Jamaican tapes, this expanded edition contains the original 10 tracks and an additional 8 bonus tracks comprising rare dub cuts and contemporary singles from the group's own Clinch Records catalogue.
