Songs For A Blue Guitar

Songs for a Blue Guitar is an album by Red House Painters, released on July 22, 1996 in the UK, and a day later in the US. The record that caused a split from former label 4AD the heavier guitar stylings, not to mention covers of songs by Wings and Yes on Songs for a Blue Guitar indicated that Mark Kozelek was itching to move into new pastures. Essentially a kozelek solo album, this laid down the template for his future work under his own name.
