Neon Indian

Neon Indian is an indie electronic act hailing from Denton, Texas. The music is composed by the talented Mexican-born artist Alan Palomo, who was born on July 24, 1988.

The name Neon Indian was inspired by one of Palomo's ex-girlfriends, who also served as the muse for their song "Should Have Taken Acid With You." Originally intended as a musical apology for missing an acid date, her positive reaction to the song encouraged Palomo to continue creating more music under the Neon Indian moniker.

In 2023, Alan Palomo decided to let go of the Neon Indian project and its associated ideas. Instead, he embraced a new concept and released his latest LP under his full given name "Alan Palomo." After completing the album in 2022 during summer studio sessions following the pandemic hiatus, he announced its release at the end of summer with several singles. Additionally, he revealed plans for touring in the fall under "Alan Palomo Live," featuring mostly the same band members. This marks a fresh era and direction for him as an artist while hinting at the sound he sought in his final Neon Indian project showcased in "Toyota Man."
