Peggy Sue

Peggy Sue Webb, born on March 25, 1943 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, is a renowned country artist. She began her career at a young age, performing with her sisters in Indiana and later becoming a featured act in Loretta Lynn's early shows. Not only did she contribute to Lynn's compositions, including the hit "Don't Come Home A' Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)," but Peggy Sue also achieved success as a solo artist.

Signing with Decca Records in 1969, Peggy Sue released her debut single "I'm Dynamite," which made its way into the Country Top 30. This was followed by an album of the same name and another successful single titled "I'm Gettin' Tired of Babyin' You." After gaining recognition for her most popular song "All-American Husband," she left Decca Records after two albums and went on to record two more albums for smaller labels in the 70s.

Although experiencing a decline in success after 1983, Peggy Sue continued to perform as both a background singer and costume designer for her sister Crystal Gayle. Today, she remains active in the music industry and continues to captivate audiences with her talent.
