Infectious is a UK-based independent record label that was re-launched in January 2009. Previously known as Infectious Records since 1993, the label is now headed up by Korda Marshall as the Managing Director and Pat Carr as the General Manager. They are supported by Connie Meade and Mike Ajayi in sales, marketing, International, and A&R.

With a strong team behind them, Infectious has been making waves in the music industry. Their dedication to discovering talented artists and promoting their work has earned them a reputation for excellence. The label's commitment to quality extends to every aspect of their business, from production to distribution.

In September 2014, BMG acquired Infectious, further solidifying their position in the industry. This partnership allows Infectious to continue growing while maintaining their independent spirit and artistic integrity.

Formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, Pixies is a US alternative rock band. The original lineup included Black Francis (vocals, guitar), Kim Deal (bass, vocals), Joey Santiago (guitar), and David Lovering (drums). In 2013, Kim Deal left the band and was temporarily replaced by Kim Shattuck for live performances. Eventually, Paz Lenchantin joined as the permanent bass player.
Pixies gained recognition for their unique sound blending elements of punk rock and surf music with surreal lyrics. Their influential albums like "Surfer Rosa" and "Doolittle" solidified their place in alternative rock history.
With their distinctive style and powerful live performances, Pixies continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Their music remains timeless and continues to inspire new generations of musicians.

The follow-up to 2016’s Head Carrier is titled Beneath The Eyrie through Infectious / BMG. Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Paz Lenchantin worked with producer Tom Dalgety on the new record.

Beneath The Eyrie recaptures the rabid velocity, boundless invention and vivid, enveloping aesthetic of Pixies’ legendary early albums without feeling the need to recreate them. Visceral, musically cinematic, otherworldly but strangely familiar, the album tells tales of witches, Daniel Boone, misfits and other characters, fitting utterly into the band’s inherent weirdness.
