New York based avant-garde collective from Baltimore, Maryland. The band consists of David Portner, Noah Lennox, Josh Dibb, and Brian Weitz. In the early 2000s, before naming themselves "Animal Collective", the members of the band made few albums under their stage names. These albums are now considered part of Animal Collective's discography and have been re-released under the name Animal Collective.

The first album, Spirit They're Gone Spirit They've Vanished, was released in 2000 under the name Avey Tare and Panda Bear. The second album called Danse Manatee was released a year later under the name Panda, Geologist and Avey. Both albums were later re-released as a double CD under the name Animal Collective.

The first pressing of their 2002 live album Hollinndagain was released under the name Avey Tare, Panda Bear and Geologist. Later reissues were released under the name Animal Collective.

Domino is an independent label founded in Putney, South West London by *a694357* and his partner Jacqui Rice in 1993. The label initially focused on American acts such as *Sebadoh*, *Pavement* or *Royal Trux* before signing British acts in the late '90s.

The label operates a US division, located in Brooklyn, which output was initially identified by its own catalogue number schemes, DOMUS then DNO (used until 2013), when the releases handled by the UK headquarters are identified by WIG (albums) and RUG (singles and EPs) catalogue numbers.

The company operating the label, *Warp Records*, diversified, establishing a publishing arm and a series of labels (*Double Six Recordings*, *Weird World Record Co.*, *Rephlex*, ...).

Animal Collective’s 2004 critical breakthrough, Sung Tongs, is re-released. Sung Tongs generated critical acclaim upon its release and was featured in year end best-of lists of the decade. They continue their pursuit of a new psychedelia. Their wild path has taken them from cramped concrete basement shows and forest floor singalongs to immersive installations at the Guggenheim and performances to millions on national television.
