Ninja Tune

Ninja Tune is an independent record label based in London, England. Established in 1990 by the duo known as Coldcut, Ninja Tune was created as a platform to release underground music free from the constraints of major labels. Inspired by a visit to Japan, Coldcut sought to pioneer the emerging hip-hop/electro scene of the eighties.

The label's success can be attributed to its constantly growing roster of diverse artists and their innovative approach to music and multimedia. With the combined expertise of Black and More, along with the graphic vision of Openmind and sound business practices, Ninja Tune has become known for producing quality music while providing unparalleled support to its artists.

Notable releases include DJ Food's 'Jazz Brakes' series, which showcased instrumental hip-hop cuts produced by Coldcut. Through their dedication to musical excellence and artist empowerment, Ninja Tune has solidified its position as a leading force in the independent music industry.

The Grammy-nominated duo Odesza and groundbreaking Sydney producer Golden Features come together as Bronson to release their debut self-titled album on Foreign Family Collective and Ninja Tune. This album comes straight off the back of releasing a limited ‘Untitled’ 12” white label as Unknown Artist (which sold out in 24 hours) and some great early club support in online mixes and live streams. The record combines both melodic vocal songs and moodier, deeper electronica with guest features from lau.ra (part of Ultraísta alongside Radiohead’s Nigel Godrich), acclaimed US R&amp;B singer Gallant and British producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. 

Bronson originally formed through the personal connection that Odesza members Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight shared with Golden Features’ Tom Stell, the debut album has been nearly three years in the making, culminating in 2018 when the trio spent a week in the remote reaches of Berry, Australia, recording what would later become the first Bronson album.
