Album artwork for Ephemera by Jim-E Stack

James Harmon Stack, otherwise known as Jim-E Stack, is a producer who, alongside impacting electronic music at the turn of the decade, has helped to shape the sound of contemporary pop music to his own design. By fusing the electronic textures of his previous work with the guitar-based sonics of his formative years spent in bands in San Francisco, he has provided tracks for the likes of Charli XCX (Enemy) and Caroline Polachek (Door) while establishing his name as one of modern pop music’s most influential talents.

On his second album Ephemera, Jim-E Stack finally invites the listener into the world he’s been building behind closed doors. Featuring special guests Bon Iver, Octavian, Bearface of Brockhampton, Empress Of, Dijon, Kacy Hill and Ant Clemons, Ephemera is more than a sum of its parts; it’s a continuous sonic thread that results in a unique blend of innovative songwriting and expert curation alongside an ear for arrangement that feels progressive and nostalgic at the same time.
